I don't know about time and tide wait for no man, my first year as Yorkshire Region Chairman has flown by so quickly, I must say both John and myself have had a really good year, we have joined the Region Youth at their winter and spring rallies it's pleasurable to see the camaraderie and sportsmanship amongst them our region should be proud of them, we are to have an extra treat in July as our Region are hosting the National youth rally near Selby, if any youth need details on this meet contact our RYLO's John and Jill.
Our Region meet at Carlton Towers is hosted by Huddersfield DA. I hope you will come along and give them your support, the theme is “Hero's and Heroine's”. I'm sure lots of you will be working together with your DA. making costumes ready to enter the Mardi Gras, lets hope the sun will come out for the event and carry on by giving wall to wall sunshine for the rest of the season.
Many of our DA's and section's have Temporary Holiday Sites open, for those of you that have never attended a THS they are mostly sites that have no facilities, run by members for members, this keeps the costs down and gives us lots of choice all around the country meeting up with old and new friends, our thanks to the volunteers who give their valuable time to keep these open.
Anyone who hasn't yet booked for the Region meet don't forget if you attended last year you should have your £5 voucher to present with this year's booking.
My chosen charity is the Yorkshire Air Ambulance and I thank you all for your support during the past year.
