Chairman’s Pitch

May 2025

Having been elected to the very honourable position of Yorkshire Region Chairman, I would like to thank the members of region council who have put their trust in me to lead them this coming year.

Soon it will be our annual region meet put on by a dedicated bunch of volunteers, who pay the same as everyone else, at Grange Park Wetherby from the 26th to 29th June. The theme this year is ‘CIRCUS’ so please come along and enjoy yourselves. The cost is £45 for the weekend and there is plenty of unbooked area.

After that, Yorkshire Region will be hosting the clubs National Youth Rally at the same venue. We also have temporary holiday sites running around the region, please look on the web site or in the region handbook for details. These are run by volunteer stewards and I would like to thank them for all the hard work and dedication that they put in to make these THS’s available for members to enjoy. On the 29th of November, Region will be having our Region Dinner at Driffield Showground. This is a booked event so please again look on the web site or the Region handbook for details.

Within Yorkshire region, a number of district association and sections run meets and THS’s and I know that they are always looking for stewards to help run these so please consider stewarding. It is a very rewarding and you get to meet new friends along the way.

My chosen charities for this coming year are the Yorkshire Air Ambulance and MacMillan Trust which are two charities we love to support.
