YORKSHIRE REGION

Having been elected to the very honourable position of Yorkshire Region Chairman, I would like to thank the members of region council who have put their trust in me to lead them.

The Region Meet for 2026 will have a theme of ‘Films’, put on by a dedicated bunch of volunteers, who pay the same as everyone else, at Grange Park Wetherby from the 25th to 28th June. so please come along and enjoy yourselves. There is entertainment a bar, trader, and things for children, the cost is £45 for the weekend and if you book early there is a discount, we also have plenty of unbooked area as well, so if needs must you can just turn up on the weekend

 I would like to thank all the stewards for all the hard work and dedication that they put in to make theTHS’s this year for members to enjoy.

On the 29th of November, Region will be having our Region Dinner at Driffield Showground. This is a booked event so please again look on the web site or the Region handbook for details.

Within Yorkshire region, a number of district association and sections run meets and THS’s and I know that they are always looking for stewards to help run these so please consider stewarding. It is a very rewarding and you get to meet new friends along the way.

Also maybe think about joining a da or section committee as many are struggling to function due to lack of members coming forward, without committee’s they will fold and then the number of events for camping will become fewer,

My chosen charities for this coming year are the Yorkshire Air Ambulance and MacMillan Trust which are two charities we love to support. I hope you will get behind these.
